From March 2023 to March 2024, I was elected as the Recruitment PR Director for my sorority, Tri Delta at The University of Alabama. Greek life at The University of Alabama is the largest in the nation, and sorority recruitment is a huge trend on socials in the early fall every year. In this role, I led the creative direction from start to finish: planning and executing photoshoots, editing content, and ensuring a cohesive visual presence across all social platforms. I developed a consistent aesthetic that reflected our chapter’s values and energy for everything surrounding rush!
I curated social media content that engaged both current and potential members, and coordinated with design, social, and executive teams to ensure every detail, from outfits to timing, aligned with our vision. I also lead 450 active members, assigning tasks, managing tight deadlines and schedules, and coordinating/executing photoshoots for recruitment workshops throughout the year and during the two weeks of rush.
In addition to end-to-end content production, I managed collaboration outreach, coordinating with brands including LaCroix, Loops, Poppi, and Maybelline to integrate their products into themed sorority recruitment events. I had an idea to do a partnership with Maybelline, creating “bridesmaid boxes” of sorts for every girl on recruitment team. I absolutely loved the way they came out, and executing the entire process. I also produced many graphic designs and banners for each day of work week.
This role strengthened my skills in leadership, creative planning, brand management, visual storytelling, and brand collaborations.
